Description
Built between 1937 and 1939, the bunker was created to provide an emergency solution for senior officials overseeing the construction of the Universal Exhibition, which was to have been held in 1942 but never took place due to the war.
It is situated 32.90 metres below sea level and covers an area of about 475 square metres. Designed according to the most modern anti-aircraft techniques of the time, this shelter could have allowed about 300 people to stay for a period of at least 4 months.
